Sofia is a second-year graduate student in Weber State University's Master of Social Work program with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from San Diego State University. With a background in working with teens and young adults, court-involved individuals, and in community mental health care, she is passionate about supporting clients through their unique experiences and challenges. Sofia is excited to work with clients ages 10 and up and is committed to creating a welcoming and supportive therapeutic environment.
Sofia utilizes a holistic and individualized approach, drawing from skills and interventions from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She believes that every client has different needs and experiences, and works to meet each person where they are with a strengths-based approach to mental health care.
During her free time, Sofia enjoys spending time outdoors, especially rock climbing, camping, and hiking. She also enjoys doing crafts and finding creative ways to unwind.
